I'd like to tell something about me very briefly. Not going to write a novel or something.

I was born on a dark November Sunday night over 20 years ago, and I had an excellent childhood.

Recently I finishd my non-military service by working in Lahti Polytechnic: Faculty of Social and Health Care as a receptionist. I started it in the beginning of October 2004 and ended it in September 2005.
Now I'm working out on the plan for the future.

I'm a true Hufflepuff (huh?) and forever optimistic.

Music

Music is strongly involved in my everyday life. It's a passion.

My main instrument is piano (Waldheimer), which I have played since 1995. I'm self-taught, which in my opinion is the best way to learn one's own style.
And I do not like to play directly from the notes. I mean, I'm not following them exactly as they are written. I think they're just guidelines. Improvisation is the key.

I used to play alto saxophone back in 90's, but somewhy sold the instrument. Now I've bought it (Yamaha YAS-275) again and started playing it after this long break.

I've also got an old Roland E-28 keyboard. Though I'm planning to change it to a new and better one, as soon as possible.

Me, my little sister and our two cousins form a music group of somekind. We have recorded now two CDs (only for relatives) and we had our first gig in Iso-Kirja on 23rd December 2001 and another one in our second cousins' wedding on 31st July 2004.
Next for-relatives-only CD is to be finished during 2005, and it'll include our own songs, not covers so much anymore, I hope.

Fandoms

I am a huge fan of two things. Harry Potter and Melanie C.
Ask me anything about Potter and I'll answer (correctly, of course). I'm not so sure about my knowledge of miss Chisholm.

Whenever I'm online, you'll most probably find me in Vuotava noidankattila, which is the Potter forum, where I work as one of the administrators. I also help with news and other stuff in the biggest Finnish Potter site, HP-fanit.
And I run both Porttiavain and 4-Galleria.

Melanie C's music is just fantastic, and I like it very much.

Travelling

Seeing the world is something very interesting. Thus far I've only explored around Europe. The northest point is Oulu and the southest is The Canary Islands.

In September 2003 I travelled to London - alone. It was my very first trip abroad alone. And it went very well. Enjoyed my time there.

Movies

I like going to movies, the atmosphere is fascinating. Visually attractive movies are always wonderful. Amélie, Moulin Rouge!, LotR trilogy, there are just too many to name.
I'd say I could watch pretty much all kinds of movies. Thrillers, comedies, sci-fi, musicals, horror, and so on.
Also animated films are coming back to my liking.

Favorite actress: Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan, Angelina Jolie

Graphics and photos

Photography is one of my newest hobbies. I use Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 and Canon EOS 3000.

I also create art of somekind on my computer, by using Micrografx Picture Publisher 7.0 mainly.
